Bio
Albers & Valeza is a Colombian–German electroacoustic duo based in Weimar, Germany, formed in 2024 at Bauhaus Universität. Their work is built around improvisation for clarinet and live coding in performances that probe the boundaries between sound and music, memory and technological mediation. Timm Albers works across sound art, microsound composition, and multichannel spatialization, with a focus on spatial listening and compositional research. Sebastian Valeza is a musician and improviser whose practice spans instrumental performance, sound synthesis, and embodied artistic research in experimental music. Their work cultivates a mode of tacit listening — deliberate, unstable, and perceptually charged — where fragmentation becomes structure, mirroring the unstable construction of memory.
